First Communions

We celebrated the first communion for Anna, Jenny and our Godchild Evelyn and her brother Kevin. All these kids have been working very hard in the past years to prepare for this event. Elizabeth and I kept Kevin and Anna one year back on their communion so they would have a better understanding of the meaning of it. I think they both did great job. I truly believe Anna has a very good understanding now. Jenny is working very hard to catch up. Despite her difficult in English, she starts to have some understanding of religion. It is very hard. We thought about taking her back one year, but then thought in order for her to fully understand what is going, one year may not be enough. She has done such a great job and made so much progress. It is great for her to see the results of her hard work. I know God will continue to bless her....It is time to celebrate!
